R&B is very much alive with Khalid's 'Scenic Drive' Mixtape release via Right Hand Music Group/RCA Records. 'Scenic Drive' features a handful of surprise guest artists, Alicia Keys, 6lack & Lucky Daye, Quin, JiD, Kiana Ledé, Majid Jordan, Smino, and Ari Lennox.

'I’m so grateful to have worked with so many amazing/talented artists on this project! Also, I’m so excited for everyone to hear this and live with it,” Khalid said of the new release.'

'I’ve had the chance to listen to a lot of music and also push myself creatively while I’m recording,” Khalid said in a press release. 'My mom raised me on R&B and whether it’s the harmonies or melodies, it will always be a part of my music. ‘Present’ is just the beginning and I love that it has a dual meaning. It feels good to be more ‘present’ after such a trying year in the pandemic and it’s also a ‘present’ for the fans that have been with me every step of the way.'

In a recent interview with Zane Lowe. Khalid talks about 'Scenic Drive' 'one of the spots that I go to, or I went to a lot in El Paso,' It's this drive up this mountainside, and then you look to the left, and you see Juarez and see El Paso. Lights. It's the perfect place to go at night. It's one of those places you go with your friends, and you park on the side, and you hop out the car, and you sit in awe of how beautiful the city is."

Since the beginning, I have been a fan of Khalid's music. A few favorites off his debut album 'American Teen' featuring 'Shot Down' 'Let's Go,' 'Saved,' Angel, and the hit single 'Location.' Take a listen to Khalid's dope music.

'I recorded a song that made someone feel — that shook someone up — but that made someone feel better,” he says.
