Jamaican-born & Sheffield-based Hip Hop artist Franz Von releases his latest video, 'Power Be You,' of his forthcoming EP 'People Di Powa.' The project enlists a roster of producers worldwide, including Tom Excell, Lucian Oniell, Labo Klandestino, Toni Smoke, and Chris Malpass. The album will feature guest appearances from an array of talented guest vocalists, including Mark Stoney, Cortney Dixon, Nicola Newman and K.O.G.

The video is directed and shot by Freddie Kofi and filmed on the streets, rooftops and communities of Franz Von's hometown. In the video, we get to see Franz in full body paint, depicting ancient Ghanaian Adinkra symbols found in both Ghana & Jamaica, symbolizing indigenous knowledge and the need to preserve and pass that on to the next generation.

'Power Be You' is produced by Mark Stoney and Tom Excell and explores ongoing examples of systemic oppression and the importance of homegrown communities, raising the question 'Who got the power to choose?'

Franz Von's powerful poetic expression and spoken word put him in the same category as UK Afrofuturist rappers like Little Simz and Kojey Radical.

This song is a message of empowerment, a prompt for recognizing and embracing our inner strength.
